Accolade - Peace IV Project – Project Support Officer
                                                                                          
Job title: Accolade - Peace IV Project - Project Support Officer

Location: Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council – Banbridge area

Responsible to: Management Committee

Responsible for: Organising all workshops and activities of the project.
Hours: 8 hours per a week from 15 November 2018 to 30th of November 2019

Rate: £15 per hour

Duration of Project: 72 weeks (Project commenced July 2018)
 
Main purpose of the role:
 
To provide support to Accolade to deliver all aspects of the Peace IV Project – Building Positive Relations.

This project involves the delivery of a range of musical workshops to 4 Primary schools within the Banbridge area.

To act as the Key Contact with the designated Peace IV Project Office within the Council.   

Nature of position: Freelance, fixed term position November 2018 – November 2019.
 
Terms:: Contract for the stated time and position will be offered to the chosen person 1 week after the Management Committee of Accolade receives submitted CV’s. Interviews may be held.

 Key Responsibilities of Project Support Officer. To be the key contact with the Peace IV Project Officer (Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council) Acting as the central point of communication and information between the Project Promoter (Accolade) and the Peace IV Project Officer.  
To work with the project facilitators to collate project information and arrange equipment hire, venues for music workshops and other performances associated with the project.   

To report to the Committee of Accolade, Treasurer and Facilitators on project progress and associated expenditure.  

To assume responsibility for the Peace IV Project Budget as delegated by Accolade trustees. Maintaining finance systems in conjunction with Accolade Treasurer.  

To submit a monthly claims accompanied with a Progress report (Peace IV will provide relevant forms)  

To ensure that procurement is in line with SEUPB and Council requirements.  

Responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the project.  

Communication including the issuing of press releases in accordance with the agreed project programme.  

To ensure Health and Safety and to carry out risk assessments where it is deemed necessary.  

Attendance at training and/or networking events required by Peace IV team.  

To undertake any other duties in accordance with the post as agreed with the Management Committee To work in accordance with all agreed policies and procedures both of Accolade and the Project.  

Person specification:
 
Essential Criteria: 

 
Experience in all aspects of project management including planning, delivery, Finance, marketing, venue liaison, recruitment and staff management, monitoring and evaluation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

IT skills ( word and excel)

Proven time management and ability to prioritise a varied workload  

Desirable:
Experience of Project Management with musical and Good Relations work

Experience of managing Freelancers

Experience of working with Accolade

A 3rd level qualification in music.

Experience of working with orchestras and choirs.

Experience of working with school children.
